Abstract

The use of variable structure control theory to design robust controllers for a class of linear systems with unmatched uncertainties was introduced. The design of switching functions based on robust control theory to guarantee stable sliding modes on the switching surface with unmatched uncertainties was presented. The variable structure control laws were used for the system state to reach switching surface with sliding modes in finite time. The justification for the feasibility for the proposed method was demonstrated by simulation.
