Abstract

This chapter introduces general approaches in robotic micromanipulation of small organisms and cells, such as calibration of established coordinate frames and autonomous positioning of end-effector tips. Moreover, model identification and advanced control methods widely used in robotic micromanipulation are also discussed. This chapter plays a basis for the next several chapters.
