Abstract

This paper analyses the ground resolution of the synthetic-aperture processing for the shipborne high frequency hybrid sky-surface wave radar (HFHSSWR). First, the system geometry of the moving target for the shipborne HFHSSWR is formulated. Then, the gradient method is utilized to derive the ground range and cross-range resolutions of this radar. Finally, the resolution results estimated by the simulated impulse response function verify the correctness of the theoretical analysis.
