Abstract
Progress on polymer photovoltaic cells based on photoinduced charge transfer in composite (or multilayer) of conjugated polymer as donor and C60 and its derivatives as acceptor was reviewed. Performance parameters and mechanism of such new type of all-solid photocells were introduced. The advantages of low manufacturing cost and simple coating or printing fabrication process in large size make polymer photocells promising for many practical applications. Further direction in improvement of energy conversion efficiency of polymer photovoltaic cells was discussed.
