Abstract

The micromachining of three-dimensional metal micropart with complicated shape is the emphasis and hotspot of micromechanical investigation all the times. Microprecision casting technology has particular advantages on fabricating three-dimensional metal micropart with complicated shape efficiently compared with many other machining process appeared in resent years. In this paper, the development and present status of investment cast microprecision casting technology abroad are summarized from aspects of microcasting process, microcasting alloy, microcasting mould materials and related theory. The shortage of current microprecision casting technology and the develop direction have been discussed. At the same time the author's research work on metal mould microprecision casting technology are briefly introduced.
