Abstract

The development history and status quo of LD pumped all-solid-state blue lasers were briefly covered. Different ways of generation, frequency-doubling crystals and configurations of resonator were discussed. Coating technology, heat dissipation and "blue noise problem" were presented. The prospective of LD pumped all-solid-state blue lasers was pointed out.
