Abstract

The operation principle of wind turbine was analyzed, and the wind turbine model was proposed, a simple and effective emulation scheme was built up based on the speed and torque, a wind turbine emulation platform based on DSP and DC motor was set up, the upper computer control interface was designed using LAB Windows. The emulation system was used in grid-connected variable speed constant frequency AC excitation double-fed wind power systems. It can emulate the operation states when wind turbine operates in different wind velocity and different rotor speed, which satisfies the need of the research for the operation states when the generator works in synchronous speed, super-synchronous, sub-synchronous and also for the tracking of the maximum wind energy, and makes the research on the wind power technology convenient in the laboratory conditions.
