Research on the thermal power of the novel rotating electromagnetic heating machine

Abstract

A novel rotating electromagnetic heating machine(EMHM) is presented based on the reverse problem of the temperature rise and loss in electrical machines. The input energy is completely transferred into thermal powers by it, and the water medium flowed through it is magnetized. Calculating the thermal power of EMHM is the foundation to analyze the synthetic physical field of it. Firstly, the operation principle of EMHM is introduced, and the component of its thermal power is discussed. The calculation method of the thermal powers, based on the 2D time step finite elemet method, is deduced. Secondly, thermal powers of a prototype are calculated, and the thermal power values at different speeds are presented, especially, the changes of each thermal powers are discussed. An experimental platfom was disigned to measure the thermal powers, and its measure method was also mentioned, and the experimental research was made.
