Abstract
According to the relay protection GOOSE in the smart substation, the requirements for the reliability and real-time of the process layer network scheme is needed. On the basis of the spider web in the nature, a novel spider web topology structure, based on process layer GOOSE network in smart substation was proposed in this paper. This paper organized the process layer network with one certain smart substation. Fault tree analysis was applied to demonstrate the reliability of the network scheme. Industrial Ethernet transmission analysis on delay and OPNET simulation were employed to proof the spider web topology has real-time performance characteristics. The results shows that the spider web topology structure is demonstrated to achieve the requirements for the reliability and real-time in smart substation GOOSE communication network.
