Abstract

This paper discussed the design method of robotics sensitive skin based on infrared sensor. In order to collect the mass data of sensors properly, DSP chip is used as the main CPU in the system, circuits are realized by CPLD and parallel ports collect multiple high-speed data. The light intensity method is adopted to measure the distance between sensitive skin and obstacle. The experimental result shows that the sensitive skin can improve responsive ability of robot and resolve the prior problem of real-time obstacle avoidance.
