Abstract

In this paper, research on isothermal forming of aluminum alloy hatch is performed with rigid-plastic FEM, and the influence of different loads on the metal deformation and flow were analyzed. The results show that isothermal forming with local loading can effectively control the deformation and flow of metal, improve the ability of filling the cavity die, avoid defects, such as under pressing overlap and breaking of rib, and obtain the high-quality rib-web part.
