Abstract

GOOSE(Generic Objects Oriented Substation Event), the fast message communication mechanism brought up in IEC61850, is used for transmitting important real-time signals between intelligent electronic devices in substations. In the working process of smart substation, types of signals transmitted by the GOOSE message include the on-off signal, the blocking signal and the start-failure signal between different protective equipment. According to the instantaneity requirement of GOOSE message, fast Ethernet controller DM9000AEP is chosen to reach a date rate of 100Mbps. And using STM32F407ZGT6 as the CPU can control DM9000AEP. In this paper, the design of communication interface will be discussed, while the design of circuit and the software will be proposed. In the end of this paper, the communication function will be tested by Wireshark to prove the design is fast and reliable.
