Abstract

High-speed satellite optical communication technology has been used in engineering applications with the in-orbit tests are operated successfully in recent years. However, the latest test results from Europe and Japan show that the current inter-satellites optical communication link is unstable and the communication time only accounts for 4.0% of the total experiment time, which can affect the data transmission of communication seriously. So the far-field characterization of the bidirectional beam tracking is analyzed considering the affects of SNR the measurement error of CCD and the compensation effect. The theoretical model with far-field correlation on tracking stability is established. Combined with parameters of SILEX laser communication terminal optical system to verify the model is correct. Simulation Results show that the work above possesses significant reference value on optimization design in inter-satellites optical communication.
