Abstract

A permanent magnet synchronous motor with variable magnetic reluctance field adjustment (VMRPMSM) was presented. The structure is introduced and flux weakening principle was formulated. We analyze the effect of the thickness of permanent magnet to electromagnetic force on the movable permanent magnet, parameters and flux weakening performance. The analysis is corresponding to the test result which verifies the availability of the flux weakening method for VMRPMSM.
