N2 - The role of horse has changed greatly with the change of the background of the times and the progress of science and technology. Subsequently, horse racing and its space have also undergone the reconstruction of "industrialization". Horse racing sports space has gradually become an important experience and leisure space in the city. This study first analyzes the origin and development of the International and Chinese horse racing sports space from the perspective of man-land relationship. Throughout its development, horse racing and its spatial forms have always been shaped by factors such as military needs, social classes, culture, economy, and technology, evolving from recombination to differentiation, and then to re-recombination, reflecting the profound interaction between social changes and human activities. Secondly, through case analysis and field investigation, the composition and characteristics of contemporary horse racing sports spaces are deconstructed, mainly including competition venues, ancillary facilities and industrial spaces. Finally, the paper puts forward the development trend of contemporary horse racing sports space from three aspects: context carrying, animal welfare and industrial integration, aiming to provide theoretical references and practical guidance for the development and design of future horse racing sports spaces.
