N2 - In recent years, with the continuous improvement of residents’ living standards, the enthusiasm for travel and outings has been on the rise. The domestic market has seen a surge in self-driving tourism, such as camping and RV travel. Therefore, how to provide a comfortable, safe, and high-quality travel experience for self-driving tourists has become a crucial issue for regions seeking to gain a competitive advantage. The G331 section in Jilin Province has abundant tourism resources, which are thoroughly explored in this paper. Firstly, the kernel density analysis method is used to calculate the intensity of resource distribution, and the resource-dense spots are identified. Then, the central function index is used to evaluate the development prospects of the resource-dense spots and determine the key nodes of the corridor. Finally, the spatial layout of the tourism corridor is determined based on the multi-dimensional indicators of landscape correlation, reasonable travel arrangements, and travel security conditions according to the needs of tourists. This study is expected to promote the development of the tourism industry, improve the travel experience, establish the brand image, and drive the surrounding development.
