Abstract

The paper analyzes the disadvantages of the conventional testing system and introduces motor testing method based on the parameter identification technology. A new testing method aiming to single-phase AC series-excited motor (SACSM) is studied, which is based on the digital signal processing technology and parameter identification technology. For obtaining motor characteristics, constructs the mathematic model, gives the method of parameter identification and puts forward a kind of new genetic algorithm based on the social hierarchic rank which is used to parameter identification of motor model in SACSM testing system. Using this type of testing method, the motor only needs to be fixed, then powered and starts to run for a short time, the parameters and the characteristics of the motor can be obtained. Experiments show that the testing system can be maintained conveniently to help obtain the desired results.
