Abstract

The radio frequency (RF) detection method has the advantages of high sensitivity and strong anti-interference ability, and is an important means of partial discharge detection of power equipment. At present, RF sensors cannot meet the needs in terms of bandwidth, gain and size at the same time. It is urgent to develop RF sensors with excellent performance and suitable for partial discharge detection. The RF detection method has the advantages of high sensitivity and strong anti-interference ability. important means. In this paper, a new type of ultra-high frequency (UHF) sensor for partial discharge detection is designed using coplanar waveguide feeding as the feeding method of the sensor. Three typical defects such as corona discharge, creeping discharge and internal air gap discharge were set up, and partial discharge detection tests were carried out to detect partial discharge signals. The results show that the sensor can effectively detect the partial discharge signal, and has a high signal-to-noise ratio and good bandwidth characteristics.
