Abstract

Local symmetrical multi-fading fault tolerant filter and global hierarchical-multistage-rescale information fusion strategy with FDIR (Fault Detect, Isolate and Rescale) capability are presented to satisfy requests of high reliability and fault-tolerant ability which are put forward by multiple sensor navigation system of re-entry vehicle. By researching on characteristics of sensors and stages along the re-entry trajectory, the corresponding fusion strategy, methods to detect and isolate spent/failed sub-system are proposed. Result of simulation based on a specialized integrated navigation system INS/GPS/CNS/Doppler shows that the new optimizing fusion method has effectiveness and practicability.
