Abstract

A power source designed for electromagnetically induced acoustic emission (EMAE) is developed. The power source is used to load eddy current as electromagnetic stimulation to produce acoustic emission signals. The core of power source system is the control circuit which is based on 32-bit digital signal processor (DSP) chip TMS320F2812. Trigger pulse can be regulated through the variation of the program parameters so the performance of trigger pulse is flexible. Therefore, the frequency and the waveform of the power source can be transformed. Test result shows the reliable and stable power has achieved the loading demand of the EMAE.
