Abstract

Modified process of A+AO+BAF was proposed through process reforming and chemical adding to improve nitrogen and phosphorus removal efficiency compared with convention AB process. Phosphorus removal was analyzed using coagulation experiment, which demonstrated PAC, FeCI3 and the mixture of these two chemical have good phosphorus removal efficiency. Modified process of A+AO+BAF based convention AB process was operated and the optimizing operation of chemical-aid phosphorus removal was analyzed to confirm the best chemicals, dosage and dosing point. Results indicated that phosphorus removal efficiency improved as dosage increase, the effluent of phosphorus could reach the discharge standard of pollutants for municipal wastewater treatment plant (GB18918-2002) when the chemical of PAC was added at the end of aerobic tank with the dosage of 40 mg/L.
