T1 - Research on optimization method of high-frequency Relay's RF capability based on orthogonal experiment

N2 - High-frequency relays, which could transmit the radio frequency signals without distortion and cut off the signals reliably, are widely applied in the fields of the industry, military and aerospace. The continuous and discontinuous structure on the signal transmission path is the main limit of the radio frequency (RF) performance of the relay. In this paper, a certain type of high-frequency relay was investigated. A 3-D finite element model (FEM) of the relay including the contact system and the typical discontinuous structure was proposed. The influence of the structural dimension on the relays RF performance was analyzed based on orthogonal experiment method. Then, the key factors that affect the capability of high-frequency relay were determined and an integrated optimization method was proposed to define the optimum parameters. At last, simulation and experimental results showed that the RF performance of the relay, such as Insertion Loss (IL), Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) and the isolation (IS), was promoted remarkably after optimization.
