Abstract

The Cf/LAS composite was successfully joined by using Ag-Cu-Ti filler alloy. The interfacial microstructure and mechanical property of joint were analyzed. The microstructure of the brazed joints was investigated with scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The mechanical properties of the joints were measured with mechanical testing machine. The results show that the typical interfacial microstructure is Cf/LAS composite/TiSi2/Cu2Ti4O/TiCu/Ag(s,s)+Cu(s,s)/TiCu/Cu2Ti4O/TiSi2/Cf/LAS composite at brazing temperature 900 ℃, for 10 min. The shear strength of the joints reaches a maximum of 8.4 MPa when the temperature is 900 ℃ and the holding time is 10 min.
