Abstract

Micro-gripper is a very important implement in executing micro operation, micro assembly and other micro tasks. The volume, mass, gripping displacement and micro gripping force of micro-gripper are very important to be considered in designing a micro-gripper. A PZT driving micro-gripper with two grades displacement amplifier is designed in this paper. After modeling the micro-gripper, finite element method (FEM) is used to analyze on gripping displacement and micro gripping force. The experimental results prove that the micro-gripper is reasonable and practical.
