Research on methods of product evaluation based on user experience

Abstract

The definition of product evaluation is to evaluate the quality of products in order to summarize experience as the guidance for follow-up design. Methods and process of user experience measurement are applied to the area of product evaluation. Based on the theory of user experience measurement, the evaluation method for products‟ performance (performance metrics) and for users‟ experience (self-reported metrics) are used to analysis the level of effectiveness, learnability, and ease of use to evaluate the products fully. Then all the factors are integrated to be a comprehensive evaluation level for the products and the products are classified based on it. The results of product evaluation are obtained by dealing and analyzing different kind of data. And some usability problems are obtained and prioritized as guidance on product design.
