Abstract

The knock threshold detection is the key of gasoline engine knock detection, and it is the key of the closed loop ignition control of gasoline engines. In this paper, the method of detecting knock threshold of gasoline engine using vibration signals was studied. The result shows that the knock threshold can be detected from engine surface vibration signals by using the discrete wavelet transform, and the knock threshold of each cylinder of multi-cylinder gasoline engine can be detected by one vibration transducer alone.
