Abstract

The finite element simulation software ANSYS based computer-aided process planning/computer-aided engineering (CAPP/CAE) integration system for laser forming has been researched with emphasis on some key techniques such as the finite element method mesh generation, the model transformation and the post processing. Application has shown that fast optimum design and forming simulation can be verified in the integration system, so it can be applied to the optimal design of self-adaptive process planning for laser forming.
