Abstract

Driven by the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality targets, the cultivation of low-carbon and energy-saving talents in the field of civil engineering plays a crucial role in promoting the green transformation of the construction industry. This study begins by using Citespace for academic frontier analysis, comparing current postgraduate talent cultivation programs, and reviewing national policy texts. It aims to clarify the gap between academic frontiers and the current knowledge demands in university talent cultivation and to refine the national requirements for cultivating carbon peaking and carbon neutrality talents in civil engineering. The study identifies the gaps in the knowledge supply for talent cultivation from an academic frontier perspective and the cultivation orientation at the national strategy level. Both perspectives together guide the development of talent cultivation pathways for carbon peaking and carbon neutrality professionals in civil engineering, providing a research reference for talent training in this field.
