Research on high power and high voltage EPS by noise shaped nesting method

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The future satellite EPS (Electrical Power Subsystem) requires high-voltage high-power and modular installation. A power regulation technique named S4R (Sequential Series Shunt Switch Regulator) is used in the high power modular platform. Aimed at improving efficiency and dynamic response of the high-voltage and high-power EPS, a low-frequency noise shaping technique is used to nest each module of S4R. Its experiments have proven that this kind of method has a high power conditioning efficiency and high dynamic response performance without a larger capacitor array.
