Research on heterogeneous data exchange of project management

XML(Extensible Markup Language) is widely used in the cross-platform data interaction. As a primary international standard of XML document in the project management, Microsoft Project XML Schema (MPXS) provides a foundation for the exchange of the heterogeneous data of project management. This paper investigates the mode mapping problem between XML and the relational data, and then improves the P-Schema on the basis of existing studies. Subsequently, the IP-Schema is designed as the middleware for the exchange between XML and relational data. Finally, MPXS Calendars element is used as the example to illustrate the realization process of the IP-Schema.
