Research on guidance method of glide phase for long-range glide missile

Abstract

A guidance method of glide phase for long-range glide missile considering all path constraints, which can online generating trajectory, was proposed. The reference profile of attack angle and boundary of bank angle were given. The trajectory of glide phase was approximated with quasi-equilibrium glide condition. Considering the earth rotation, improved quasi-equilibrium glide condition was proposed. The relationship between velocity and range-to-go was given. So the longitudinal constrained reference trajectory planning problem was converted into a one-parameter search problem. The longitudinal reference trajectory was tracked using LQR method. The lateral reference trajectory was generated using lateral guidance strategy. The numerical results showed that, the proposed guidance method could generate 3DOF trajectory online considering multi-constraints. So it was able to apply to the onboard guidance problems.
