Abstract

Generating plasma by high power microwave in space is analyzed and calculated in this paper. Breakdown electrical field intensity threshold of atmosphere for generating plasma is analyzed. Transmitting power of the antenna is calculated for the initial condition of generating plasma in the space aerosphere. Actuation duration of generating plasma is analyzed and calculated, and it is proved that the course of generating plasma by high power microwave in the space aerosphere is instant. The theoretical analysis of generating plasma by microwave in space is presented in this paper, and it provides some theory support for the subsequent research.
