Abstract

In this paper, the decision analysis method of seismic design intensity is studied. Two decision analysis methods of optimal economic design intensity and optimal safe design intensity are put forward. And the conception of social acceptable earthquake mortality is brought forward. By analyzing, it is obvious that human earthquake mortality is very important for determining the optimal design intensity, and only considering economic influence is not sufficient.
