Abstract

Damper with multilayer steel plates is researched for satisfying the needs of severe working condition in aerospace and astronautic engineering. The isolation of this damper is performed by the friction force caused by relative slip between plate layers under loading. The structure of multilayer damper is designed, and the modeling of isolation system of this damper and the differential equation of motion are explored, based on the principle of dynamics. The phase planes of free vibration are obtained by trajectory of system. The dynamic simulation is exploited experimentally and dynamical characteristics of the system are concluded from simulation results.
