Abstract
A closed-loop control method for the matrix converter based on double line-to-line voltage synthesis algorithm is proposed. The errors between the actual duty ratios and the realism duty ratios of the voltages are calculated through the errors between the actual output voltages and expected output voltages of the matrix converter. The obtained duty ratio errors are utilized as the feedback to the duty ratios of the next sampling period to realize the closed-loop control method can make the output voltage follow the reference voltage very well, and it can suppress the waveform distortion of the output voltages and input currents. Simulation results prove that the proposed closed-loop control method is valid to suppress the waveform distortion of the matrix converter output voltages and input currents caused by the distortion of source voltages or the performance difference between the real power switches and ideal power switches.
