Abstract
In this paper, according to the requirements for polymer lithium-ion battery of car-carried charger used in electric vehicle, a charger structure of multibank charging units in series is proposed using the output characteristic of constant current/constant voltage (CC/CV). The single- ended forward converter topology is adopted in the main circuit of the charging units, which analyzes the design of circuit parameters; a current-mode controller is applied in order to realize CC/CV control strategy for charging units. Relative tests have also been done, and the developed car-carried charger has already been applied in polymer lithium-ion battery electric vehicles.
