Abstract

Based on the test, this paper analyzes the response of steel structure with composite floor under impact load by nonlinear FE program LS-DYNA. A comparison of structural response from numerical simulations and impact test shows a good agreement. Furthermore, steel cable was used as a protection method to prevent the structures collapse under impact load. The calculation results indicate that the steel cable can reduce the response of structure effectively and is a good protection ways.
