Abstract

System survivability is a new security theory, which has become an important issue in the area of network security. Survivability enhancement is a significant issue in the research field of system survivability. The methods and principal underlying techniques to enhance system survivability are analyzed, the current research situation and open problems of them are discussed, two typical survivable systems are given, and finally research trends in this area are addressed.
