Research of spatial patten for coastal urban agglomeration of Liaoning province

Abstract

With urban agglomeration of coastal Liaoning province as a case, the paper identifies its spatial revolution process lies in the formation stage which is the second stage of the four stages of urban agglomeration, and concludes the macro spatial pattern of the coastal urban agglomeration in Liaoning province into urban compact district; and the meso-level spatial pattern into metropolitan district. Then it further analyzes the evolving tendency of the two spatial patterns, including mega-city region in the macro level and network city in the meso level.
