Abstract
The high temperature oxidation behavior of oxide dispersion strengthened Ni-based superalloy prepared by electron beam physical vapor deposition was investigated. The oxidation kinetics of this superalloy was derived to obey the forth power law approximately. This oxide scale composed of pure Al2O3 has a good adhesion ability, no spallation was found during the high temperature oxidation. The oxidation resistance of this alloy and adhesion of oxide scale was increased by adding of rare earth oxide.
