Abstract

After modeling on optimizing arrangement for turbine blade installation, ant colony algorithm was applied into research work, to decrease residual unbalance of single level impeller after blade installation. Ant colony algorithm is distributed controlled, self-organized and potential parallelized. Residual unbalance of impeller could be reduced lower effectively by applying this algorithm in optimizing arrangement for blade installation. Moreover, whole arrange process could be accomplished quickly and could also satisfy some special requirements during actual operation. During plenty of experiments in Harbin Turbine Co., Ltd. for more than one year, more than 97% of impeller unbalances is reduced to 1‰ of formal standard value, and more than 99% of impeller unbalances is reduced to 1% of formal standard value. Results of those experiments prove that applying ant colony algorithm in optimizing arrangement for blade installation is effective.
