Abstract

The significance of attributes in decision systems is defined from the viewpoint of information. Then a heuristic algorithm for reduction of knowledge is presented, which uses the channel capacity as heuristic information to reduce the searching space during the reduction of knowledge. The experimental results show that this algorithm can find the better relative reduction of the decision system.
