Abstract

The traditional reliability assessment methods for aerospace relays are based on failure data. It is concerned about the failure number and failure time of product only, ignored the information of degradation data during the reliability life test. The method is not suitable for the long-life products or products for some reason unable to carry out the related life test. By monitoring and analyzing the sensitive parameters of the aerospace relay, a new reliability assessment method is proposed. Firstly, according to GJB standards, the circuit that can monitor the degradation data during life testing is developed. And the pseudo-life is worked out with fitting model according to the degradation data. Secondly, as an improvement of the traditional "coordinate paper law", this paper studies the identification method to determine the best distribution type for the failure data based on maximum likelihood theory. Finally, the whole life reliability test of a certain type aerospace relay is carried out to verify the reasonability of the proposed method.
