Abstract

In view of the large and complex roof grid structure of Qingdao Sports Center Swimming and Diving Hall and Wenchuan earthquake disaster, based on the large-scale venues as the safest place for severe earthquakes, considering four kinds of strong seismic waves, the seismic analyses of the grid structure are done. Considering the materials, construction loads, wind loads, live loads, static loads, temperatures, construction deviations and other factors, and the maximum stress of structure bars as the main performance indicator of engineering reliability, the reliability analyses for the complex grid structure are done by the ANSYS program PDS module using Monte Carlo sampling. The results show that Qingdao Sports Center Swimming and Diving Hall has good aseismic performance; that the grid structure for Qingdao Sports Center Swimming and Diving Hall has good reliability. It is show that the design of the steel structure achieves the aseismic performance objectives.
