Abstract
Most existing approaches assume that component reliabilities in a system are known, for example, a constant. However, there are many factors influencing embedded software reliability. It is more reasonable to set component reliability to be a variable. In order to make use of these factors, a modeling approach of software component is provided. The approach of analyzing embedded software reliability is presented. In order to explain the approach of analyzing embedded software reliability, the example of 2 host nodes and 4 software components is given. Finally, the experiments include 12 original components and 4 host nodes. The impact of different interaction frequency matrix among software components on embedded software reliability is discussed. The influence of the number of component replicas on embedded software reliability is analyzed.
