Regulation/protection switching control for an aeroengine by using the L2 bumpless transfer approach

Abstract

This paper focuses on the safety protection problem of aeroengines and present a multi-loop switching control technique based on the L2 bumpless transfer algorithm. Firstly, the aeroengines protection control problem is summarized from the point view of working mechanism. Then, the regulation/protection switching control thought is introduced. By using L2 bump-less transfer algorithm, a systematic multi-loop switching control strategy including model description and bumpless transfer design is developed. Moreover, as an extension, the bumpless transfer design for multi-loop switching control with actuator fault is proposed. Finally, the aeroengine over-temperature protection control is considered and numerical simulations are provided to show the effectiveness and applicability of the approach.
