N2 - 'Mechanical Engineering Measurement Technology' is a highly comprehensive course that serves as a critical means for students to connect theoretical learning with practical engineering. With the goal of cultivating excellent engineers, this paper proposes a reform of the major project experiment in Mechanical Engineering Measurement Technology. During the reform process, we strive to accommodate students' interests, guiding them to actively and proactively engage in experimental endeavors. Beyond the confines of the classroom, we foster the utilization of commonplace items from everyday life to construct practical experimental environments. By employing sophisticated software tools, we analyze and process the collected data, thus facilitating the execution of simulated experiments for mechanical engineering measurement. At the end of the paper, a solution for teaching-learning cycle is proposed to ensure the smooth implementation of the reform. The reform proposal described in this paper has been widely recognized by students and effectively improved the practicality and popularity of the course. We hope that this research can contribute more to the cultivation of innovative talents and excellent engineers.
