Abstract

Printed circuit boards (PCB) from waste computers were decomposed in water at a near-critical condition in a non-stirring tubular reactor, for the purpose of separating and recycling the organic and metallic materials and glass fibers. Experiments were devised in order to identify some significant process parameters that affect the decomposition rate of PCBs, including temperature, time, sample size and catalyst concentration.
