Abstract

This paper reviews the recent progress of using characteristic mode analysis (CMA) for the design and optimization of lossy structures, with a focus on the strategies of using CMA for metabsorbers. The new perspective and performance of the metabsorber brought by the introduction of CMA are addressed.
