Abstract

Rotating Electromagnetic Voltage Converter (REVC) is a new type of energy converter, which with multi-functions including voltage change, reactive power compensation, harmonics isolation, etc. In the paper, the operating principle of REVC is introduced; the mathematical model of REVC is obtained from relations of voltage, current, inductance and flux linkage. The mathematical model is simulated and analyzed by Sfunction of Matlab software, and the validity of the model is verified. The prototype is manufactured, and the results of experiment and simulation are consistent.
